I'm retiring effective 8/2/18 after nearly 42 years in banking.In banking since 1976, starting at PNC (fka Central Trust, Cincinnati, OH) in Retail (Branch Management), later promoted to a Regional Branch Administrator. In mid 1980's, went into Branch Credit Administration. Was with PNC until 1991, at which time I moved to Huntington National Bank, starting in Commercial Banking (Cincinnati, Dayton, and Northern KY), before spending six years in Business Banking, follwing which I moved back to Commercial Banking as a Senior Portfolio Manager. Was with HNB until 2008, at which time I moved to USBank as a Corporate Risk Manager overseeing Portfolio Risk Managers for 10 business lines in Corporate Banking. In November 2015, I was asked to take the team lead for Loan Review as part of the Enterprise Credit Risk & Analytics team. Focus is on assessing underwriting analysis and credit decisions, the risk ratings, and compliance with applicable Credit Policies, for credits underwritten and managed within the respective business units.Specialties: Underwriting, closing (including due diligence) and management of complex commercial loans, and servicing/cross-selling to clients within the portfolio. Macro analysis of the level and direction of risk within portfolios and industry segments, and monitoring of credit process issues within portfolios, including problem identification and remediation. Stress Testing portfolios and reporting on the level and type of mitigations for outliers. Writing and maintaining of Procedure Documents. Assessing the depth and quality of credit analysis and lending decisions, as well as compliance with applicable policies.
