With a lifelong dedication to fresh produce, my journey in this industry began early on, encompassing roles at VHB, Briess, Hassy, and G’s. I am now Group Managing Director of Nationwide Produce, a thriving family business founded by my father in 1975. Proudly overseeing all aspects of the business, I'm delighted to share our recent achievement—a record-breaking turnover of £177m in the financial year 2022-23. Our customers are in every sector of the market; food service, catering, processing, wholesale, export, and retail – and want to be able to buy a full range of vegetables, fruit and exotics from around the world every day. At the close of 2023, I was honoured to be appointed as a trustee of the charity FareShare and took on the role of Chair of the Food Committee. Joining FareShare's board is a voluntary commitment, driven by the profound impact they make in addressing food poverty. Initiatives like 'the Coronation Project' offer a significant opportunity to contribute positively to our society. In addition, I proudly hold the title of Liveryman of The Worshipful Company of Fruiterers and I am a Freeman of the City of London.

I went from Sales Director to Sales Assistant....but for a much larger company! VHB were one of the first produce businesses to be bought by a large stock-market listed company - Hazelwood Foods PLC. They supplied every retailer in the UK and were by far the biggest tomato producer in the UK at the time. We had a very tight sales team handling a lot of product for a lot of retail customers - invaluable experience! -
