My name is Tim Sullivan, and I am a Junior at the University of Oklahoma studying sports business and economics. I’ve been working in athletics for almost a couple years now with the athletics department at OU, so I’ve gotten a really good idea that the world of athletics is what I want to pursue long-term. So far, my experience has mostly been centered around both game day operations and the fundraising/donor engagement, which has allowed me to develop strong skills in interacting with fans and clients of OU Athletics to ensure that people have good experiences at our events. That’s really a huge part of the reason why I came here to study sports business, because I knew in addition to being a part of a great business program in the Price College of Business, I had the opportunity to help enrich the uniquely positive experiences people have with our athletics department.Beyond that, getting involved on campus during my undergrad has been a huge priority for me as well. I’m currently the Vice President of External Affairs for the OU Sports Business Association, and I also served as a TA for economics department for a couple years, so serving the student body has been a big part of my time at OU. Taking up roles like these has been extremely rewarding and very valuable to my development as a leader, and I’m currently continuing this development as a Candidate Associate in the JCPenney Leadership Program in Price. At the end of the day, I strive to get the most out of every experience I have, and OU has given me a chance to do just that.My top 5 strengths are:1. Development2. Harmony3. Discipline4.
