Internship in Liverpool University’s High Energy Physics department. I wasworking on a C++ program to work out the detector resolution of future updates for the LargeHadron Collider (LHC) ATLAS detector at CERN. It was highly valuable experience working in a fullmultinational research environment and being able to work in a team with senior researchers.

Onternship working on proposed detectors for the future International LinearCollider (ILC) as part of a multinational research team. My tasks involved designing and building amakeshift cooling system to take the detector down to less than -120°C. The work was excellentexperience in safe working with sources of radiation and also working as part of a diverse team in anindustrial environment.
