I'm a former journalist who still has ink in his veins. I left journalism for the greatest job ever, press secretary to former Gov. Tom Ridge. (I still rank as the longest-serving gubernatorial press secretary in Pennsylvania history). Then I led, bought and sold a successful Pennsylvania ad agency, Neiman. Became a co-owner of the acquiring Boston agency, A&G, where I ran the PR practice and advised client executives. And now I'm in philanthropy, serving as the first communications leader of the Richard King Mellon Foundation, the largest foundation in my hometown Pittsburgh and one of the 50 largest in the world. I've served on seven non-profit boards, including two Executive Committee stints and one as Chair. I'm a Pittsburgh sports fanatic, a Deadhead and a PK who teaches the Sacraments to 7th graders on Sunday nights. Most of all, I'm the lucky husband of Anne and father to Kate, Megan, Danny and Molly.
