An experienced and self-motivated individual responsible for fleet and facility maintenance, renovations, expansions and special projects of our branch network across Canada. The position includes travel to and from the various locations, as well as reporting, project management and communications skills. • Responsible to maintain, develop policies, training programs and procedures designed to ensure compliance with provisions of the National Safety Code as they appear inActs and regulations enacted by either Transport Canada or the respective provincial transportation ministries.• Provide audit guidance designed to ensure compliance, conduct audits and provide input into driver training programs. • Assist in crash investigations requiring opinion to render a decision regarding cause. • Develop and promulgate national fleet strategy focusing on vehicle purchases, design, and effective vehicle maintenance and vehicle rotation programs. Oversee facility budget & capital expenditures for renovation and expansion projects. Track building lease expiry dates, terms and negotiating requirements quarterly. Review branch emergency procedures and participate in annual fire safety drills. Update and maintain corp design standards for facility build and vehicle production projects. Inventory and collate branch drawing packages for all secure facilities. Interact with landlords as primary contact for lease repairs and maintenance requirements.
