TBS Consulting was created at the request of a friend and business associate who recognized I had an ability to help his business with a specific project. This "first project" (to consult with a MLB team on broadcast rights) has led to working with a variety of businesses I have experience with (media) and those that I learned from the ground up (hospitality and insurance). The common theme being a willingness to LISTEN, LEARN AND CONNECT THE DOTS with skills I have developed over a successful career in sales and management. Life skills that allow me to connect with people, motivate and lead. These are skills that transfer to nearly every type of business. Along the way I have embraced new technologies (especially those engaged in media- SEO, Web based selling, data based SMS and email marketing ..to name a few) that allow me to further enhance the value I can bring to a company. In charge of sales vision, planning, budget and leadership of sales team for Cinedigm's on screen advertising division.The sales team included four regional managers, 60 plus Account Executives in 34 states along with recruitment, client services, and advertising support staff in Minnesota.Mission also included developement of new revenue sources such as web advertising, digital signage and creative services fee structure. Total budget- $14M.

I was hired as National Sales Manager at MNN, promoted toVP of Sales in 1991, advanced to President in November of 1994.MNN provides news and other programming services to commericalradio stations in the region, my role was to sell and lead a team tomaxiumize the revenue the network owned on affiliated stations. I worked with advertising agencies around the country, in the regionand with state goverment, direct local business to build the revenue base of the company. During my years as President the companygrew from $1.5M in revneue to $7M, included 9 networks, 3 majormarket radio stations, and provided services for the Twins, Wild,Timberwolves, Vikings, and University of Minnesota.

In charge of team of 70 broadcast professionals involved in all aspects of the operations(Programming, Sales, Technology, business planning, budgeting, fiscal oversight and communications to the board of directors).

Lead sales team for regional radio network. Clients included major advertising agencies, state of Minnesota, direct business and also represented State Radio Network association (25 state Networks) to clients throughout the United States. Duties included training, finding and leading team of sellers and support staff. Also involved in working with major distribution clients (Twins, Vikings, Timberwolves, University of Minnesota and Minnesota Wild) as well as radio partners throughout the region.
