In 2011 Servant Leadership International (now All God’s Children/Aaron’s Place) was born and since then has worked to reconcile the growing need for trained church leaders (elders, deacons and pastors) in Africa. SLI labors to accomplish this through culturally sensitive workshops and seminars in servant leadership, theology, spiritual formation, discipleship, and church planting.This ministry views the training of church leaders as critical to transforming the weakened church and carrying out The Great Commission. This leadership training is also proving crucial to spoiling the strategic and aggressive spread of Islam and allaying the influence of African traditional religion.In the summer of 2016 we added a new facet to the work of SLI. Aided by very knowledgeable and resourceful Zimbabwean Christian friends, we are in the process of developing ministries that will serve the Marondera and Makoni districts in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe is home to nearly two million orphans, according to UNICEF. The National Aids Council estimates 28,000 orphans in these two districts alone. Many of these vulnerable children are homeless, uneducated children of the streets; others are living with extended family members as domestic servants or are being trafficked to the highest bidder.In 2018 I assumed the directorship of All God's Children, Inc. (a 501(c)3, non-profit). AGC was preparing to close their ministry and my wife and I sought to take directorship of this ministry. Since assuming directorship, SLI became Aaron’s Place and was absorbed under the umbrella of All God's Children, Inc. At present, AGC is providing 60+ orphans and/or vulnerable children and families with free education, uniforms, clothing and food relief. We also continue training pastors who work with us in evangelization and church planting throughout the Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe.Most recently, we were registered by the government of Zimbabwe as an institution in the Makoni District and as a Private Voluntary Organization (Aaron's Place) in the Marondera District of Mashonaland East. We are now in the process of re-establishing the former work in the Makoni District and opening a new ministry in the Marondera District. Our mission statement remains the same; Educating and Empowering: the Global Church, Children and Communities.Our prayer is that you will join with us as individuals, churches or relief organizations in this ministry driven by the message of reconciliation and the urgency to care for widows and orphans.
