I specialise in all areas of planning, including planning obligations agreements, Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) issues, compulsory purchase and highways. My practice is across the full spectrum of development, including town centre regeneration, tall buildings, market and affordable housing, office and retail schemes both within and outside of London.My advice spans the entire consenting process, ranging from legal reviews of applications and advice on strategy pre-submission, negotiating planning conditions and S106 agreements (including future-proofing planning obligations and securing favourable mortgagee liability provisions to assist with funding), to resisting judicial review challenge to consents or undertaking appeals. I have recently focussed on de-risking the development consent process and helping clients to achieve robust and commercially sound consents for housing, ranging from projects for affordable housing, to mixed market and affordable units, to housing forming part of wider mixed use schemes. I also advise housing providers on CIL relief and associated state aid issues.Whether advising on small or large-scale schemes, working in Planning means our projects can make a real difference to people's lives and experiences.
