I have worked in various Manufacturing and Supply Chain roles over the past 11 years with Newell-Rubbermaid. Throughout that time I have taken part in many training and transformation opportunities which shaped my development and impact at both Irwin Tools and Graco Children’s Products. A large part of my professional career with Newell Rubbermaid has been spent as a business process champion for a corporation-wide SAP system implementation; basically I review a business’s processes and employees’ skills to develop a training plan for each end user that incorporates past practices and process improvements to use in the new corporate ERP business system. Each plant implementation was a year-long Kaizen; every process and budgeted position was evaluated and, where needed, improved to achieve a lower bottom line cost. The end goal, which has always been met, is business integration to the new ERP without any interruption to customer service. The last five years have been spent managing the internal and external supply chain for Irwin Tools including all material purchasing, production master/detail scheduling, inventory control, and make to order distribution. In 2013 I was promoted to Operations Manager adding production and maintenance to my supply chain organization. I am interested in using my Supply Chain, Operations, and LEAN experience to improve overall effectiveness and bottom line results. Five years from now I see myself finishing my MBA and looking for more opportunities to demonstrate the knowledge I have obtained though work experience, training, and education.Outside my professional career, I am very active in the community. I coach the South Portland HS Volleyball Team and chartered the 1st club Junior National Volleyball Team in 2014 through Maine Juniors. I am also the Development Coordinator for Maine State Volleyball Association where I provide free training camps for all ages and create MSVBA's development strategy.
