The application of OMICRON products provides users with the highest level of confidence in the condition assessment of primary and secondary equipment on their systems. Training and Application Engineer (SEC Equipment) responsible for providing training and high-level technical support of secondary products and their applications. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS• Provide product consultation, training and support on protective relay and scheme testing, power system measurement & modeling, instrument transformer testing, substation communications, metering, power system apparatus diagnostics, transformers, switchgear, rotating machines and ancillary equipment, distribution applications theory and diagnostic methods to our customer base.• Provide input on new products, product strategies, development, and application needs.• Coordinate all technical issues with OMICRON's sales representatives and distributors.• Test electro-mechanical and microprocessor-based devices with manual and fully automated test equipment and test data management.• Direct involvement with power system protection & communications schemes in the generation, transmission & distribution areas along with knowledge of metering, re-closers and networks.• Provide input on new products, product strategies, development, and application needs.• Manage and develop application notes and technical papers, including presentations at relevant seminars/conferences.• Direct involvement with key industry OEM contacts and committees, such as IEEE.• Troubleshoot technical problems for customer and sales support.• Manage and develop application notes and technical papers, including presentations at relevant seminars/conferences.• Develop and deliver training for OMICRON's products, both in person and with webinars.
