I am a Criminal and Regulatory lawyer at Blake Morgan LLP solicitors.I defend businesses accused of serious crime and regulatory breaches and individuals accused of all manner of offences from causing death by careless driving to causing grievous bodily harm with intent. I represent a lot of individuals charged with drink driving and related offences. I travel the length and breadth of the country. In the past year I have defended clients in Crown Court cases in Swansea, Isleworth, Blackfriars, Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight.I also prosecute: my cases have included a serious marine accident and an oil spill. I prosecute on the sea and defend on land!I was ranked as a Leader in my Field in the last 2 editions of Chambers and Partners'​ Guide to the Legal Profession and the Legal 500.Given that I have spent all of my professional life in litigation and dealing with courts and tribunals, it came as no surprise when I was asked if I could assist some of the firm's clients in the Education Sector. I help head teachers and Governors if a pupil has been excluded either for a fixed period or permanently and when they would like advice about the appeal if the case is going before the Board of Governors or further - i.e to an Independent Review Panel. I am a keen golfer and a devoted follower of Southampton FC.Specialties: Defending motorists charged with speeding, drink driving, careless driving and those who have been charged after a fatal accident. Defending in non motoring cases including drug offences, fraud cases and marine accidents. Helping head teachers and Governors in relation to permanent and fixed term exclusions.
