• Manage a team of 25 production employees by motivating, leading, teaching, and rotating them through production tasks for cross-discipline training• Manage the daily operations of the production facility such as die cutting, water jet cutting, assembly, etc.• Coordinate scheduled production runs and timing in partnership with the Operations Manager• Manage production jobs from initial setup of machinery to quality control before shipment• Oversee all temporary and full time production employees by providing guidance, onboarding to processes, and on the job training• Troubleshoot machine maintenance issues and coordinate timely resolution with machine manufacturer or floor machine maintenance technician• Audit production processes for inefficiencies and report solutions to the General Manager and President for alignment, before implementing those solutions• Utilize Artios and DraftSight to design foam fixtures for production processes, in addition to packaging orders to assist the design team• Audit all work orders and production runs for quality and accuracy

• Aid in the development of new customers• Provide technical insight to customers• Coordinate with Customer Service on one-on-one customer interfacing for project details and first article approvals• Implement process improvements for manufacturing purposes that will allow us to provide the customers with their products in a more efficient fashion• Create detailed production designs• Coordinate with sales by providing them with customer requested samples, customer requested pricing, and by providing customer with any relevant technical data• Continuously work with existing customers to help maintain and grow relationships in addition to providing support to the sales team to make sure the customer’s order is on par with their satisfaction

- Design packaging systems for customers. Interface with customers in the development of new parts. Coordinate implementation of new parts. Contact suppliers of dies and other production equipment as well as technical support staff for software and hardware requirements.- Confer with production, sales, and customers to establish and evaluate design concepts for packaging products. Evaluate the feasibility of design ideas, based on factors such as appearance, safety, function, serviceability, budget, production costs/methods. Present designs and reports to customers for approval, and discuss the need for modification.- Fabricate or coordinate the fabrication of samples in wood, plastic, corrugated, or other materials using hand or power tools. Modify and refine designs, using working samples, to conform to customer specifications, or production limitations. Analyze product failure data and laboratory test results in order to determine causes of problems and develop solutions.- Research production specifications, costs, production materials, and manufacturing methods, and provide cost estimates and itemized production requirements. Recommend improvements to work methods or procedures. May purchase materials to complete jobs.- Use computer-aided drafting or design (CAD) software for designing packaging systems or other engineering tasks.- Generate, update, proofread and distribute drawings, files, and records of production parts.Perform documentation involving quote request, drawing, design review ERP set-up and folder order.- Design and supervise acquisition of tooling.- Prepare technical reports and related documentation.

- Conceptualize and design custom protective packaging for any industry.- Engage in new product development using polyethylene, polyurethane and cross-linked foams, plastic and paper corrugate. - Work closely with customers to ensure they receive the highest quality of packaging.- Provide technical support for sales with packaging samples, designs and pricing for their customers.- Run a Data Tech DT 3000 sample cutting table.- Work closely with other Austin Foam Plastic designers by aiding them in design, setup of new parts, or by providing them specific information.- Provide customers with general information, suggested packaging options and by providing them with a 3D visual.

- Reverse engineering on various styles of hydraulic, pneumatic, and water pumps. - Design new seals for various styles of pumps, using AutoCAD 2D and AutoCAD Inventor 3D. - Aid in putting together purchase orders for consumers. - Work closely with customers and suppliers to ensure satisfactory completions of orders and projects.

• Currently working on updating documentation.• Work closely with manufacturing, updating them hourly about changes that are constantly happening with the designs of new electric motors.• Deal with writing ECO's and ECR's for purchasing and manufacturing.
