As National Logistics Manager, I lead a national team which enables Parkland's Commercial & Retail divisions to support the growth of fuel sales volumes, ensure product availability and opportunities to maximize margins based on lift points through arbitrage and logistical optimization. Through collaboration with Operations, Distribution and Supply leadership, and their respective teams, we improve customer responsiveness and increase efficiencies.Our development of reporting tools and oversight to capture product supply benefits for the organization is also a primary function of my team, including standardization of processes and procedures to reduce errors in fuel order processing and support compliance to Supplier contracts and Government obligations.Responsibilities include:• Lead, coach and mentor the Regional Logistics Managers team which includes staff country wide.• Lead and recommend strategies and tactics to maximize revenues, and delivery efficiencies• Monitor Rack and other market indicators that influence pricing, to drive arb savings capture, etc.• Develop and manage reports to support the organization to identify opportunities and develop and lead opportunities to capture savings• Reduce operational costs identified through root cause analysis and recommend solutions to improve overall business margins• As required lead and or support for projects such as conversions, acquisitions, etc.• Provide oversight & analysis on tenders & large industrial opportunities as it relates to product quality, supply, and lift point opportunities.• Maintain and develop relationships with suppliers and senior leaders to drive cost improvements as available.• Implement best practices and standards pertaining to distribution and service logistics administration. • Build and sustain a core competency and culture in logistics, establish it as a competitive differentiator for operations

The Manager of National Supply Operations oversees, and is primarily responsible for, the effective management and prudent execution of over 10BL of contracted fuels Nationally. He/she is an integral stakeholder within the Supply negotiations and optimization groups, maximizing collaboration advantages through knowledge transfer and industry relationships, and as an operational SME liaison between multiple Enterprise leadership workstreams. The Manager of National Supply Operations is a key individual in the successful integration of new acquisitions, import projects and facility, Supply assets, analytics and optimization. This individual continually monitors and investigates operational constraints and/or advantages that could materially affect the Enterprise financially or operationally, reporting to and collaborating with VP and Director level Management across the Enterprise network. Three Regional Supply Operations Managers support this position in West (Prairies/Pacific), Ontario and East (QC/ATL) Canada.

I have been part of the Sparling's Propane team since 1999 and in the HVAC trade for over 20 years as a Gas Technician and Sheet Metal Journeyman. I became Service Manager in 2004 at Head Office in Blyth and was promoted to Branch Manager of the St.George facility after the acquisition of Grand River Propane in 2008.
