Founded in Sydney in 1999, NSI Technology established a reputation for quality technology and infrastructure consulting and managed services, especially in the growing area of x86 virtualization where NSI became Australia’s first VMWare Consulting Partner. I was employed to spearhead NSI’s consulting capability in Melbourne as their first employee in Victoria. In this role, I provided consulting solutions (mostly involving VMware, Microsoft, and Citrix technologies) to clients in banking & finance, transport, government, and education. Technical lead for IT team established (upon my recommendation) to deliver an innovative range of first-class systems & services exclusively to the University’s senior leadership group. Provided technology strategy, planning, architecture & design, plus IT operations & project management, and support services.

Initially engaged to assist a migration project (Banyan Vines to Windows NT 4), I went on to provide technical support to various University departments and manage some departmental budgets. Always entrepreneurial, I successfully advocated for and led the deployment of systems to improve IT operations efficiency and user experience.
