I am an award-winning designer, project manager and technologist with over a decade of experience in new product development of mixed reality consumer electronics and interactive environments for the entertainment industries.As a leader I have extensive experience in building cross-disciplinary and globally distributed teams to create products combining industrial design, mechatronics, software development, game design and interaction design, at both small scale and mass manufacture.These products usually require R&D before going into full production as they typically bring together disparate technologies in novel ways. This process demands a unique development approach in order to meet project goals and mitigate risks, which I am well practised in delivering.As a designer I am able to contribute hands-on with most aspects of the development process for projects combining hardware, electronics and code; from initial concepts through prototyping, design for manufacture, mass manufacture, certification, logistics, installation and after sales support.I am a certified PRINCE2 Practitioner project manager, and have extensive experience running successful projects within agile, waterfall and wagile processes.I have experience in start-up culture from inception to exit, having held a senior role within a studio that went on to be acquired by Niantic Inc, and therefore understand how to build solid business strategies around cutting-edge tech stacks. This has given me first hand experience of the realities of working within organisations undergoing rapid change, and so I am keenly aware of the importance of solid internal processes to protect both the quality of the work and the company culture.I currently work under the studio name Mother Ultimate Ltd.
