I have had titles that range from assembly and test operator, quality control inspector, operations Supervisor, operations manager, father, and husband. With every title, with every position in life, I have learned. I have never settled for "good enough." I have always been a leader.Over time, I have learned that leadership is not something you gain from a title. It is not a power that someone can give you. Leadership is your ability to influence. My unique ability to influence a team is derived from the authenticity that I live my daily life. The Tim you see leading today's meeting is the same Tim you will see at the grocery store later that day. My teams trust me, because they know that my purpose is to add value to their lives, to lift them up, and to serve them. They know that I will always take responsibility for my results, successes and failures. Over the past 12 years, I have seen success within the distribution industry. My success has primarily been due to my understanding that the supply chain is an effort by multiple organizations linked together through physical and information flows. Although I may directly oversee the shipping, receiving, and storage of products within "4 walls", I have always led and coached my teams to develop policy and procedures that will maximize the efficiency and performance of the entire supply chain.
