I was the learning partner (FTC) for Aviva Quantum, the ever-expanding global data science practice of over 750 data scientists. Aviva Quantum works across markets with teams focused on areas including customer analytics, risk analytics, claims analytics, machine pricing, AI and fraud analytics. It also drives the global programme aspiring to create zero-friction customer experiences.I worked with their practitioner faculty leads to create Quantum University, developing curricula, content and support structures to ensure their data scientists were equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles and to develop successful careers within Aviva. I deployed over 40 learning pathways, comprised of over 350 modules, across 6 data science competency areas.I co-organised an annual two-day educational conference, providing over 200 data scientists with a choice of internally and externally-sourced content in both technical and non-technical disciplines.I launched a new programme of behavioural and business skills training workshops for data scientists to provide a rounded education that complemented their technical skills.I provided an environment - including the space, tools, techniques and skills - to enable their data scientists to stretch their own potential and to innovate and advance the use of data science to deliver increased value and satisfaction to customers.I leveraged the existing capabilities of Aviva’s learning management system (Cornerstone) to deliver the best learner experience possible, to ensure the data scientists could quickly locate and consume the learning they needed at that point in time.
