A key element of Vodafone’s learning strategy is to increase the availability and use of online, mobile and informal learning for all of its employees and partners. I led the execution of this strategy across its global footprint, so that Vodafone becomes a world leader in innovative and impactful online, mobile and informal learning.I globally defined, developed and implemented:• The online, mobile and informal learning strategy and plan • The operating model, processes and standards for content and delivery • The requirements and road-map for learning technology and platforms • Innovation and best practice sharing in online, mobile and informal learning solutions • The evaluation of the learning impact of online, mobile and informal learning solutionsMy significant achievements included:• Creating a mobile learning app development platform to support core training programmes in retail, sales, recruitment, careers management and technology.• Deploying a global compliance training certification programme to 90,000 employees.• Embedding the principles of gamification into mobile learning and compliance training.• Developing a “next generation” online learning portal (Academies) strategy, incorporating both “push” and “pull” and leveraging the power of learner collaboration and the use of learning data to influence a learner’s individual curriculum: Vodafone U.• Improving the LMS (Saba) end-user experience and determining the future LMS upgrade strategy.• Steering the ongoing development of learning and business improvement performance reporting.• Rolling out WebEx Training Center as the global virtual classroom platform.• Establishing a set of core standards and best practices for e-learning and mobile learning development, the use of video for learning and creating and delivering successful virtual classroom sessions.
