Not everyone can say that they love what they do. Fortunately for me, I can! I didn’t go to school to become a Recruiter, no one really does. I fell into it like most people and I consider myself lucky for finding a career that I am passionate about. Helping a hiring manager find that perfect candidate for a tough to fill role is energizing. But also on the flip side, helping a candidate better his, her, or their situation - whether it’s more compensation, better benefits/work-life balance, or just finding a boss that appreciates his/her/their employees makes me feel like a super hero!As a leader in talent acquisition, I found a way to further strengthen my passion for recruiting by sharing knowledge with others. I get to coach, give perspective, educate, nurture, foster creativity, challenge, and encourage my team to never give up and to think outside the box in order to persevere through difficult economic/labor environments. The one thing you can never do in recruiting is give up - you have to be willing to try new things. I had the opportunity to exhibit my passion with a great company for 17 years and had a blast doing it. Wyndham became a family to me where I hired a lot of people and created many lasting friendships along the way. Due to a restructuring, I am now looking for the next chapter in my talent acquisition career with a reputable company that can utilize my expertise. I bring with me over 20 years of recruiting experience in many disciplines within the hospitality industry, 9 of which were in leadership. My specialties include coaching, mentoring and developing, creating and implementing effective recruitment sourcing strategies, high volume recruiting, managing a heavy req load, university relations, client relationships, process improvement, candidate engagement and experience, performance metrics, goal setting, and consistently meeting and exceeding expectations.
