About Tim Lathlean
Dr Lathlean is Post-Doctoral Researcher with a clinical background as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP), with over ten years’ experience in research, private practice and community care. He is skilled in the implementation of exercise-based interventions for a range of clinical populations.His research to date, has focused on musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, metastatic and cardiovascular health. He is also interested in precision health, particularly how health literacy interventions as well as biomarkers can be used to monitor and improve health. Tim’s PhD investigated the epidemiology of sports injury in elite junior team sport, identifying links between load and injury, impacted by player wellness (stress, soreness and sleep). He maintains an active interest in this area, supervising higher degree by research students in team collective behaviour, exercise-based interventions for musculoskeletal conditions and the effects of environmental conditions on human physiology and performance.
