The WWT vision is a world where healthy wetland nature thrives and enriches lives and it is their mission to conserve, restore and create wetlands, save wetland wildlife, and inspire everyone to value the amazing things healthy wetlands achieve for people and natureAs a volunteer Sustainability Co-ordinator within the Sustainability team at WWT HQ in Slimbridge, Gloucestershire, I assisted with authoring WWT's environmental impacts register in preparation for Green Dragon certification and writing sustainability guidance for internal and external construction and refurbishment works.

Led the team and operations in the delivery of BREEAM standards and certification services for a global network of 2000 customers and 11,000 UK and International building assets and projects.

HEFCE’s Revolving Green Fund (RGF) provided recoverable grants in a bid to encourage innovative projects that significantly reduced energy use and carbon emissions in higher education institutions in England. Over its lifetime the RGF provided over £90m of repayable grants to HEIs. Funding decisions were taken by the RGF advisory group, of which I was a member, along with representatives from higher education institutions and key stakeholders. As a member of the advisory group my role and responsibility was to advise HEFCE on the following:- Strategy and implementation of the fund- Make recommendations for funding for large and small scale projects- The effectiveness of the fund- The aims and policy objectives of the RGF

Secondment in the Melbourne office of SKM to assist with the early development of an Australian environmental assessment method for buildings.
