I am passionate about the why behind the things we design and the impacts in which creativity, inclusion and intent plays within the greater ecosystem of creation. As a design practitioner, I am constantly evolving my methods and approach to design thinking and human-centered design. I believe in the power of storytelling, co-creation, and capability building to design for complex systems. I don’t think that design should be seen as a magic wand that solves problems. I believe that design is a conduit for deeper thinking, a dialogue, and a way of thinking that drives towards more meaningful outcomes. I always try to look at the bigger picture and to identify the true challenges we are trying to solve for the business, the end users, and the greater services and systems in which they sit under. My superpower is to draw out the creativity of those around me. I strive to create a constructive and creative dialogue with the people I engage with, to enhance the collaboration between multidisciplinary teams by finding alignment through a shared understanding of the creative process. As the author, speaker and consultant Simon Sinek once stated, “There are only two ways to influence human behaviour: you can manipulate it or you can inspire it," and I choose the path of inspiration.
