Community Human Services is a nonprofit agency dedicated to providing high quality mental health, substance abuse and homeless services to Monterey County residents to help them reach their full potential. Founded by the community over 50 years ago, it envisions a community free of substance abuse, mental health challenges and housing instability.• Responsible for the overall financial well-being of the organization• Oversees all finance and accounting functions, including payroll, budgets, invoicing, accounts payable, cash flow management, tax return preparation, annual audit• Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual reports for all ongoing grants and contracts• Supports the Development team in achieving its goals• Serves as a member of the senior management team• Works closely with the Board of Directors and its Finance and Audit Committees

Build Change is a 501(c)(3) international non-profit social enterprise whose mission is to greatly reduce deaths, injuries, and economic losses caused by housing and school collapses due to earthquakes and typhoons in emerging nations. Was a founding board member in 2004 and became a full-time member of senior management in 2011.While in this role, Build Change grew its annual operating budget from $1.3M to $6.0M, increased its headcount from 75 to over 200 people, and added new country programs in Nepal, the Philippines and Colombia.• Directly responsible for the overall financial well-being of Build Change and assuring it complied with all financial, human resources, legal, insurance, security and other compliance matters• Financial responsibilities included all financial analysis, reporting, accounting, cost allocations, banking, budgeting, forecasting, client and funder relationships, invoicing, bill payments, payroll, pricing for all grants and contracts, audit and tax preparation, and especially cash flow management• Fund Development duties included highly detailed activity and pricing forecasts for all grants and contracts, providing current and potential funders with the financial information, forecasts and detailed budgets required• Human Resources activities included directly overseeing all aspects related to staffing in the U.S. and abroad across five country programs• Other responsibilities included a variety of general operational matters including all legal, facilities, corporate filings, compliance, security and insurance matters• Managed the global finance and HR teams at headquarters as well as regional teams in Indonesia, Haiti, Nepal, the Philippines and Colombia • Build Change’s partners that I have worked with closely include the American Red Cross, Mercy Corps, Save The Children, OXFAM, Plan, PCI, Global Communities, USAID, DFID, AFD, UNOPS, the World Bank, Autodesk Foundation, Bohemian Foundation, RMS, and the Skoll Foundation

Joined a newly formed business unit at Verizon Business focused on providing sales support to its enterprise sales team in the form of ROI and Business Case Analyses. The unit merged with MCI in 2006 forming Verizon Enterprise Solutions and creating a professional services organization of which I was the primary financial consultant.• Provided financial expertise to the professional services team, working in collaboration with other business consultants to provide detailed and compelling financial analyses to help customers determine and understand the economic value of various telecom, contact center and data network strategies• Worked hand in hand with high caliber sales force preparing detailed, customized analyses for strategic and complex accounts that helped grow sales and speed up sales cycles; engaged directly with customers in the contact center space to help them understand and internally communicate the financial opportunities and benefits of improved systems, networks and customer service• Worked alongside business consultants and technological experts providing contact center solutions that encompass people, processes and technologies• Collaborated closely with business partners across the telecommunications and software spectrum to gain a complete understanding of how specific solutions and strategies would benefit companies from cost and benefit standpoints• Presented dozens of business case analyses per year to executive decision-makers; particularly strong at communicating financial information• Actively developed new business case, ROI and TCO tools and marketing materials for various sales teams in close collaboration with third-party partners such as Genesys, Cisco and Avaya

• Performed business case analysis and financial solutions consulting programs for techfin companies in a variety of IT sectors, particularly contact centers, enterprise software and outsourcing solutions• Developed ROI models, TCO models and related marketing materials aimed at helping clients better understand, communicate and sell the economic benefits of their solutions• Engaged directly and actively with clients and their customers, most specifically in the contact center arena, delivering hundreds of financial analyses involving all aspects of the contact center infrastructure, customer service and other enterprise solutions• Primary clients and partners whose sales forces I embedded with included Genesys, Sun, Cisco and Verizon Business (who would eventually go on to hire me in a similar capacity)

• For almost 10 years performed very detailed financial and economic analyses and other specialized services related to commercial litigation matters across a wide variety of industries• Was the lead consultant on over 50 litigation projects that included forensic accounting and economic analyses for general commercial litigation matters, intellectual property lawsuits, antitrust cases, healthcare and insurance claims, and other litigation matters• Managed teams of 2-10 people and worked actively to recruit, train and develop consultants• Prepared lawyers and expert witnesses for depositions and trial testimony and performed numerous reviews of opposing parties’ financial analyses, depositions and testimonies• Actively engaged in business development and marketing efforts
