Working in the Business Process Owner Division, I am involved with the initiatives coming into DND for Supply Chain. Ensuring policies and processes complement each other to leverage the Best Practices of each tool to assist and streamline day to day activities.

As the DSCO Inventory Management Requirements Manager, I provide configuration and analysis services to DGMSSC Organisations to better define and clarify requirements provided from the Material Community of Practice. These form part of the Business Requirements submitted to DDRMIS for Release schedulingAs the DSCO Representative for Modernization/Implementation of Sustainment and Logistics (MISL), (formerly Supply Chain Business Transformation), I am involved in the review and analysis of the processes from many Supply Chain applications that are being considered for integration into DRMIS to provide a single application to manage the various business processes. This includes the analysis for the move to EWM, integration of the Explosives Management solution as a replacement for AIMS and the integration of NMDS into DRMIS.As the DSCO Representative for the Material Identification Project (MI), I am working with the MI Team in identifying processes to clean the list of Materials currently in DRMIS to ensure data integrity as well as preparing the programs to be used in maintaining the database of materials for DRMIS in the future.I am the DSCO Representative for Business enhancements leveraging DRMIS in Planning and Forecasting and the way forward for managing Government Owned Material in Contractor facilities as well as Contractor Owned Material in Government facilities.

As a member of the DDRMIS Material Management Functional team I provided configuration and analysis services to enhance and improve DRMIS based on prioritised requirements provided from the Material Community of Practice.I provided Material Management advice for configuration of the Infrastructure and Engineering Business Modernisation team as they integrated their processes from many applications into DRMIS to provide a single application to manage their various business processes. This included review of process requirements with IEBM Members and R&A Team to ensure MM Positions were constructed with appropriate authorisations to work in their Plant environment.I provided configuration support, analysis and advice to a Deployed Unit in the use of DRMIS for the management of their materials and inventory.Working with ABAP programmer, analysed that Unit’s pain points to determine source of problem, determine corrective action required and implementation plan to correct, allowing for better data synchronization between systems with explicit error reporting while reducing workload on their System Data Analysts. This required coordination with FI, PM and MM analysts as data migration and synchronisation has an impact on these 3 DRMIS Teams.Working with BI programmers, provided definition of data elements required to create specific performance and progress reports for Material Disposal and for Physical Inventory performance reporting.I gathered business requirements, performed analysis on possible solutions and recommended a preferred solution, completing configuration in DMRIS and preparing technical specifications for ABAP, R&A, and BI Teams.I prepared release notes, BPP’s, job aids, communiques, presentations, and other end-user documentation as required to support functionality provided through scheduled release cycles.

As the Manager of the Material Acquisition & Support Service Desk, I am responsible for the oversight of the Business processes that govern Supply activities. As such, I ensure that they conform to policy and that the greater Supply Community across DND follows these processes and policies in their day to day activities. I provide the gateway for the Department to access the resources of DGMSSC ranging from Supply Chain policy to NATO Codification to Technical publications and Quality Assurance. I advise internal Section Heads on capabilities of DRMIS and how we might best take advantage of its strengths to improve our Business Processes. As the supervisor of the Material Authorisation section, I provide direction with respect to supporting and developing material entitlement documents within DRMIS. I regularly brief the user community to provide corrections to the them where they have not been following the correct processes causing data integrity issues in the database needing corrective action.

Transition of Department Inventory Management software from Mincom MIMS to SAP ECC 6. Implementation of updated Business Processes and flowcharts.As part of the Supply Business Transformation Team, I am intimately involved with the transformation of the CF Supply Chain Process as we move from MINCOM MIMS to SAP. As part of the team, my responsibilities ranged across various topics including reporting capabilities, project stock, personnel issues (Clothing and equipment), material entitlements and physical inventory as my primary focus, while touching on other aspects in a supporting role such as transportation, disposal and Operational Support.

Analysis of large and small scale operations and missions for logistical support.Provide oversight and advice to Deployed Operations with regard to Supply Operations, procedures and policies,Advise Senior Staff on Supply Policy and Procedures for all International and domestic Operations,Provide Technical advice on current domestic and deployed Operations, andPerform Site visits as the Technical Authority, providing advice and direction as required.

Maintained support equipment and clothing for NCR personnel, managing 6 warehouses and 45 employees.For a two year period, May 2007 to July 2009, I was the 2IC of Canadian Forces Support Unit Ottawa (CFSUO) Supply organization. In this role I managed 45 personnel providing material support to the NCR, approximately 14000 personnel, Regular and Reserve Force, as well as DND Employees. The range of support offered covers items from clothing to stationary to vehicle spare parts. Included in this was local procurement as well as providing procurement planning support as the intermediary between the various Units within Ottawa and PWGSC for procurement over $5000.00 as well as requests for contracted services.

Provided clearly defined data extracts with Business Analysis for external Organisations looking to improve on current practices,I defined the data requirements for historical access to Daily Business Transactions within the CFSS, leading to the creation of the Historical Data Repository,Provide briefings to the greater Supply Community through User Groups, Supply Manager/Site Manager Functional/LCMM Courses, and as part of Supply Inspection/Supply Assistance Team Visits
