Lake Kawana Community Centre is a multi-functional performance, conference and events centre which has 15 unique spaces available to hire including three large halls. The venue plays host to meetings, expos, conferences and events as well as live music, theatre, comedy and children's entertainment. I managed the day to day operations of the venue, supported by a team of dedicated and professional venue officers.I was also responsible for the management of six community halls throughout the region including Coolum Civic Centre, Maroochy Arts & Ecology Centre, Kawana Community Hall, Kawana Island Meeting Place, Bellvista Meeting Place and Beerwah Community Hall.www.scvenuesandevents.com.au

My focus is to provide professional and proactive marketing advice and business development services across the Community Facilities and Planning Branch to support the effective and successful promotion of programs, major sporting and performance events across the venues. The venues I look after include Sunshine Coast Stadium, Lake Kawana Community Centre, Nambour Showgrounds, Caloundra Indoor Stadium, Maroochy Multi-Sports Complex and Sunshine Coast Aquatic Centres.

I work as part of a team of venue coordinators and staff who are responsible for activating, programming and managing Sunshine Coast Council's major venues. I manage the Nambour Civic Centre which is one of the Sunshine Coast's largest performing arts venues. The venue has hosted concerts by artists such as Vance Joy, Lee Kernaghan, Neil Finn, Justice Crew, Bernard Fanning, Kasey Chambers and The Waifs as well as offering a diverse range of theatrical performances and childrens shows.www.scvenuesandevents.com.au

Operations and Logistics Manager for the internationally renowned Floating Land Festival.Floating Land is a ten-day multi arts festival which takes place at Boreen Point in the Noosa Biosphere. My role was to coordinate the operational and logistical requirements for the festival including project planning, budget management, transport, equipment and resource allocation, waste management, road closures and traffic management, stage management, venue management, production and technical equipment coordination, event permits, volunteer coordination, OH&S, emergency and risk management planning and artist support.

South East Queensland

Delivery of Creative Generator SEQ program which is about supporting artists, musicians, arts organisations and communities in South East Qld to build their capacity to help them achieve a sustainable arts practice. I provided advice on project and career development, planning and partnerships as well as information on funding opportunities and the application process. I serviced the 10 Local Government areas of South East Queensland including the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay, Brisbane City, Redlands, Gold Coast, Scenic Rim, Logan, Ipswich, the Lockyer Valley and Somerset. Through the Creative Generator SEQ program, I was able to deliver a range of workshops, events and projects. These included the [Social] Networking Events, Business, Marketing and Project Planning Workshops and the Creative Spotlight Events as well as the Artist by Artist project with ABC Open and support programs such as the Creative Project Support initiative which provided strategic support to five SEQ creative projects. I was also involved in developing the state-wide Animating Spaces project which is about activating spaces and places in regional Queensland communities through the arts.The Creative Generator program was an initiative funded by Arts Queensland and the Australia Council for the Arts.

Project Manager for deep blue, a contemporary 16 piece orchestra based in Brisbane, Australia. deep blue have toured extensively in Australia as well as performances in Asia including shows at the Shanghai World Expo.I was responsible for show bookings, venue liaison, marketing & publicity, artist management, tour & stage management, production and development and generally oversee all aspects of the business. 4 Track Records was an independent record label and management company with national distribution through MRA Entertainment and MGM Distribution. 4 Track released music from indie rock bands Wind & Brackets and Royal Engineers.

Wind & Brackets are a 5 piece indie rock band from Brisbane. During my time as manager, the band released 2 EPs nationally, received rotation on Triple J radio as well as KCRW Radio in LA and performed regularly in Brisbane and throughout the east coast of Australia, sharing the stage with bands such as The Temper Trap, Sparkadia, the John Steel Singers and The Stranglers.

My position involved sourcing and licensing music from record labels and artists to be programmed for public performance via music video systems in pubs and clubs throughout Australia.

MRA was one of the largest independent record companies in Australia and my role was to coordinate the distribution and sales/retail functions of the Central Station Records label. I was also responsible for negotiating the importation and licensing of CDs and DVDs from international labels and preparing the marketing and sales tools necessary for their Australian and New Zealand release. During this time I also released a number of Australia bands including Chris Pickering, The Winnie Coopers, Royal Engineers, Jackie Marshall, Emma Dean and others.
