Leading and directly managing a cross functional team of 15 to build web-based engineering tools for large semiconductor manufactures. Responsible for all North American and APAC customer accounts. Successfully working with a team of engineers to bring key products from concept to production which includes Intel Connected Home Design Center, Maxim EE-SIM System Power, Freescale MCU Solution Advisor, and Microchip Product Advisor. Activities included onsite sales visits with customers to deeply understand VOC, defining user flow for the solution, writing and prioritizing user stories, working closely with a UX/UI designer to create clickable mockups, loosely following Scrum and Agile development practices to build an MVP efficiently, coordinating software tool releases, following up with critical reported bugs, and scoping out future feature requests or phased work.

Transim’s primary contact and day to day lead for Intel, Maxim Integrated, Renesas, Semtech, and Freescale accounts. Maintained project timeline, removed project roadblocks, and delivered projects from cradle to grave. Provided estimates on effort and timeline. Directly managed a group of 5 application engineers and interns focused on creating electrical engineering content development, designing DC/DC power converter models, and publishing models for online simulation. Conducted technical interviews for hiring, provided coaching, and performance evaluations.

Designed IC models for DC/DC power converters in Simplis. Wrote reference design programs in VB. Prepared, published, tested, and debugged models for online simulation. Modified models based on customer feedback. Managed project timeline, customer expectations, and development.

Contractor for Boeing. Rapidly designed and built multiple prototype printed circuit boards in support of Boeing’s Systems Concept Center group. Tasks included schematic design, layout, programming microcontrollers, debugging hardware/software, and writing design documentation. Prototype applications were based on energy harvesting and low power devices. Also, maintained electrical lighting schematics for Boeing’s 747-8 and 737 sales mockups.

Responsible for a quadrature emulator board design, development, and implementation. The quadrature emulator board was a part of an hardware in the loop system that tests forklift software. Also, designed and built a prototype circuit for an innovation project, and received an innovation award from VP of NMHG.

Generated power consumption analysis for low power motherboards. Converted and maintained bill of material database for over 75 motherboards in support of a large lead free conversion effort.
