• Working as an engineer in Nilenso (www.nilenso.com) on large-scale distributed solutions for clients.• Did in-house notes taking project in Clojure.• Worked on main project, Simple Server (https://github.com/simpledotorg/simple-server) as part of the Simple Project (https://www.simple.org/about/). The project itself is in Ruby on Rails with an experiments app in Clojure. The frontend is in Android (using Kotlin). As part of the backend team, I worked on most aspects of the product – primarily the dashboard (point-in-time reporting), anonymized download and e-mailing of PHI, as well an on an “Encounter” model, which would unify support for Hypertension, Diabetes (planned) and other diseases. We saw a massive growth of patients from around 30K to 100K during this time, providing unique challenges in scaling up the product.

HP OneView for VC (OV4VC)• OV4VC is the VMware WebClient plugin to provide a unified interface to HP Storage and server. (https://shorturl.at/eloA9)• Implemented pure Java solution across Windows and Linux appliances and removed dependency on an external Windows-only tool for deploying HP StoreVirtual VSA appliances.HP IIAS • IIAS is an analyzer software for HP SANs (Storage Area Networks) providing SFP, Port and Switch diagnostics.(https://shorturl.at/ktPW7)• Upgraded modules to use Java Executors instead of vanilla Java threads to improve scalability.• Introduced usage of profilers (JProfiler, JConsole) to detect performance bottlenecks and tune the JVM.• Added support for an interactive topology viewer with critical connectivity data using D3.js.HP EVAPA• EVAPA is a performance advisor for the HP P6000 array collecting performance data and providing analysis using charts, reports, e-mails and events, and recommendations to improve performance. (https://shorturl.at/djlnK)• Implemented the Job Scheduler using Quartz – this enabled custom and templated reports jobs.• Implemented the Reports module using JFreeChart to export performance data in the form of reports.• Discovered a major bug in the product – the product was using PostgreSQL 8.3 with the standard compatible JDBC driver. During migration to PostgreSQL 9.0, the driver had not been updated. This led to bugs since the data format of PostgreSQL had changed. This meant that the data could be read correctly into the database, but the output was spurious. This led to me being awarded the Star Performer Award (https://goo.gl/dtMrfo).HP Replication Solution Manager (RSM)• RSM is a centralized tool that simplifies and automates local and remote application features of HP Enterprise Virtual Arrays (EVA). • Developed a generic API library to route requests using the DNS NAPTR Protocol (RFC 2915).• This allowed bidirectional query support for other queries such as DNS SRV, DNS A and DNS PTR.• This was implemented in C for the Solaris and Linux platforms and tested on a live environment within the Motorola campus.
