Canada Snowboard provides a wide range of programs and support services for long term athlete development and riders at all levels of snowboarding. Job description included but not limited to:- Created and managed an Internal Events Department through the 2006-2010 Olympic cycle to provide high level competitive opportunities for Canadian athletes within Canada- Led the concept design, organization and execution of annual World Cups in Whistler, Calgary and Lake Louise, National Championships, Nor Am Series and National event series- Managed the events department team, contractors and volunteers in all areas including marketing, sponsorship, operations, communications and administration- Built and maintained strong relationships with host resorts, provincial associations, National and International Sport Federations, government partners as well as athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers- Supported the Business Development department with sponsor acquisition, sales materials, and development of branding, marketing and communications- Raised over $2M in sponsorship funding for national teams and events- Hired and managed television production teams to execute the International live event feed as well as creating vignettes for the host resort, featured athletes and sponsor partners for the annual World Cup event- Responsible for department budget creation and management - Produced Canadian Snowboarder television series and negotiated Canadian television distribution contract
