My role as a Staff Software engineer at Patriot Software is heavily focused around modernizing Patriot’s C# MVC / jQuery technical stack to a Vue-SPA / C# API technical stack.My accomplishments / responsibilities include:• Building an automated eventual consistency framework using AWS SQS / SNS to allow teams at Patriot to decouple from our monolith using an event-driven paradigm. My framework has feature parity with comparable tools such as Mass Transit and Rebus with a focus on legacy decoupling and eventual consistency.I would consider this in-house framework to be the most complex project I have ever worked on and the project I am most proud of.• Engineering a framework in combination with Single-SPA to allow incrementally replacing portions of Patriot’s legacy MVC views with modular Vue SPAs which communicate with C# APIs. This solution allows injecting standalone Vue SPAs directly into C# MVC views with the end-goal of decoupling from the MVC monolith entirely.• Working with each team across Patriot in order to instill modern development strategies / technologies including: Vue 3, Entity Framework 9, .NET 9.0, HangFire, OData, the Eventual Consistency paradigm, Vertical Architecture, etc.• Working as a Lead engineer on a product team to help build a replacement for a client onboarding tool. This product replacement was built using Vue, a C# API, and Entity Framework.

During my time at OZK Labs I was responsible for leading the technical development of the .NET Core Web API and VueJSfront-end for an internal CRM application. My role required a deep understanding of .NET CoreWeb APIs, Entity Framework Core, Vue.js, HTML5/CSS3, and Transact-SQL.My responsibilities included:• Providing daily pair programming assistance to engineers on my team and other teams.• Creating technical documentation including: epic technical documentation, entity relationship diagrams for new features, sprint planning and integration strategies, release plans and associated cross-department coordination.• Carrying out technically complex tasks such as large-scale refactors, new non- standard technology implementations, and providing PR reviews for all completed work.• Working directly with other teams when increased capacity is needed to accomplish project deadlines.• Providing and implementing a roadmap for technology improvements and feature implementations.

During my time on the Feature Enhancements team, I was responsible for all development and deployment aspects of the various Focus mobile apps.My responsibilities included rewriting Focus' mobile app using the Cordova framework, rewriting and integrating existing software components to be mobile friendly, and introducing new mobile-specific features including support for hardware features found on point of sale devices.Along with the development of Focus' mobile app, I continued to develop enhancements for the school choice module for the growing number of school districts using the module for student placement.

During my time on the Tier 2 software engineering team, I worked on resolving software issues for a variety of Focus' software modules in use by most of Florida's schools.After my third month of employment, I assumed control over the development of the school choice module used by several school districts in Florida to appropriately place students into Magnet and SPA programs based on school-specific criteria.

My responsibilities at Gulf Management Systems included developing client-specific software enhancements and providing technical support for clients.Software enhancements developed include converting Gulf Management's gym management software into a mobile app using the Cordova framework, building a help center with accompanying content creator, rewriting existing software features to be mobile-friendly, and integrating the PaySafe API allowing fitness merchants to accept ACH, BACS, EFT, and credit card payments.
