Team Lead, Electrician and Senior Production Engineer, with a passion for Prototyping and Manufacturing and a strong focus on Safety.I completed my electrical apprenticeship at Bluescope Steel in 2007 and then spent 2 years doing shift work in the Communications and Technology Maintenance Team. During my last year at Bluescope I worked as a Technical Officer specialising in IP CCTV installations.I left Bluescope steel in 2011, travelled the world then joined Finisar Australia in 2013 as an Equipment Technician. Promoted to Senior Electrician in 2015 i mainly focussed on Automated equipment builds for the manufacturing line in Sydney and China. In 2018 I joined Baraja as an Manufacturing Systems Technician where my priorities were new equipment builds, calibrations, preventative maintenance, equipment repairs and prototyping with a focus on optical measurement equipment. In 2020 I was promoted to Manufacturing Systems Hardware Team Lead. I now lead a team of 4 - 5 technicians and casuals/interns. I am also focused on 5S, Lean and ensuring ISO9001 compliance in regards to our calibration procedures and practises.I am a qualified electrician, have an extensive background in CCTV, Communications, Manufacturing, Prototyping and Optics. I have been working in the optics manufacturing field for almost 9 years and have had almost 2 years experience leading a team.I am also proficient at 3d modelling using Solid works. Also very experienced with 3d Printing, Laser Cutting, and have been working in a workshop for my entire career. CNC, Manual Milling, Sheet metal fabrication(minus welding), electrical panel wiring/control boxes and parts assembly to name a few skills. I use my skills to train new employees in most of these fields. I am a First Aider, Fire Warden and part of the WHS committee. Safety is my #1 priority for myself and my team.I am currently learning Microsoft Project to enhance my project management skills.If there were 2 aspects of my career i would say i enjoy and excel at the most, Prototyping and Leading my team.
