Vice President & General Manager Of Retail
This position is responsible for oversight of the business activities of the retail business unit, including development and implementation of business plans, performance metrics, continuous improvement efforts, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure the successful operation of the retail business unit. This position will provide direction to and collaborate with functional organizations (i.e. Distribution and Substations Operations, Engineering, Asset Management, and Customer Services) on matters pertaining to the successful operation of the retail business unit. This position is a member of the Executive Planning Council and reports directly to Chief Executive Office and President. This position also leads the Retail Business Leadership Team (includes the Transmission & Distribution Manager and the Customer Services Manager), which is responsible for representing matters of the Retail Business Unit. System Control Manager
The position provided management, technical direction, and leadership for NPPD’s Energy Delivery System Control Centers (Transmission Control Center and the Sub-Transmission and Distribution Control Center). This includes the safe and efficient operation of the District’s bulk transmission system (115kV and above), any jointly operated Sub-Transmission system (69kV and 34.5kV), and Distribution systems in the District’s multi-substation system (includes dispatching, system security, transmission/distribution service sales, control area operations, transmission/distribution service contracts/agreements, retail load optimization systems). The position had bottom line accountability for his/her assigned customer accounts and the authority to manage all activities relating to the customer account. Position was responsible for management, development and maintenance of positive long-term relationships with assigned key customer accounts. Understands the customer's needs, wants, and focus on outcomes. Learns the customer's business, its market place and identify the role NPPD can play to help the customer address its needs. Work to exceed customer expectations. Seek feedback regularly and display a sense of urgency in serving customers. Create a clear, simple reality-based mission and effectively communicates it to the customer.
Contracts Supervisor
The position provided supervision of the activities associated with the Contracts and Analysis section of the Control Center Support department. The activities included the development, review, maintenance, interpretation, reporting, administration and negotiation of various Customer Contracts and Agreements; operational analysis; ant the Control Center and Corporate General office. It involved analysis, reporting, contract administration, and performance monitoring services for Wholesale, Retail, System Control, Generation Marketing, and other outside entities including MAPP and NERC. Position was responsible for staying abreast of the latest industry/regulatory developments as it related to contracts and performance monitoring for use in maintaining/developing contracts and agreements; and assuring that NPPD meet all regulatory requirements.
Nuclear Licensing Specialist
The position was responsible for preparing licensing documents and safety analysis, preparing/reviewing responses to regulatory agency requests for information, the preparation of presentations to regulatory agencies which represent NPPD's position on licensing requirements, revisions to Nuclear plant technical specifications and updated safety analysis report and acted as NPPD's alternate INPO network coordinator.
