I worked in the companies pilot plant, specializing in scale up and process optimization for dozens of projects. My work required a wide skillset including , engineering, analytical chemistry and research and development. I took part in technology transfer and and scale up form the bench to the kilo scale. I also did a great deal of technical writing, authoring SOP's and technology transfer documents. Most of my projects were cGMP regulated APIs and am thus well versed on CFR 211 and interacted with the FDA during audits. I enjoyed working here and it was an great learning experience. I perfected my communication skills both verbally and through writing.I used many instruments including glass lined chemical reactors, EZ Max and RC1 reactors, large scale chemical reactors and blending vessels, HPLC, IR Spectroscopy, UV/VIS, particle size analyzers, Total Organic Carbon analyzers as well as the performance of many wet chemicals methods (USP compendial)
