As an emergency room nurse, I am used to working in a fast-paced and unpredictable work environment. I participate in the identification and clarification of patient needs, as evidenced by participation in multidisciplinary care planning, to achieve optimal patient outcomes. I conduct preliminary patient examinations to ascertain their condition and assign appropriate acuity scores. I work closely with paramedics receiving patients and continuing care they started in the field. I also work closely with local law enforcement to aid in the continuing epidemic of poor mental health. I take detailed notes and communicate effectively with the healthcare team to streamline the healthcare process. I apply dressings and administer pain relief, antibiotics, and other medications as ordered by the doctor, and I'm able to prioritize nursing interventions. I can manage a large patient load with a high patient turnover rate. I am familiar with various illnesses and point-of-care testing. I also help to coordinate and document appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge.

As a ER Tech I performed basic patient care for ages birth through the elderly. I completed tasks assigned to me from nursing staff such as but not limited to; finger sticks for glucose monitors, collecting urine samples, documenting appropriately, and delivering samples to the lab, performing 12 Lead EKGs and immediately delivering the tracing to a Provider, Maintain accurate records of patient's vital signs as well as Intake and Outtake, setting up a sterile field using aseptic techniques, assisting in the management of clean dressing, and applying orthopedic devices as directed, and cleaning the dressing minor injuries. I also was tasked with performing CPR during cardiac emergencies, stocking of the ER, changing sheets on the beds.

I Performed production duties, ensured proper breeding procedures and maintaining appropriate levels of assigned specialized rodent breeds including inbred and outbred strains. Occasionally, I preformed specialized tasks such as tattooing or measuring blood pressure. I am responsible for packing and shipping animals to customers participated in the preparation of reports, order inquiries, and completion of customer's paperwork. Throughout the day I monitored animal health by observing animal behavior, physical appearance, and their physical environment. I participated in the planning/coordination of customer projects for the department and helped to train personnel on all levels of animal husbandry and production. I also maintained accurate department records.

Seasonal workIn charge of the 11 lifeguards of duty and maintain the schedule of 30 lifeguards. Performed initial training for the 30 lifeguards as well as in-service training. I had to communicate effectively with the lifeguards and other supervisors, and all levels of management. Solved problems as they arise.

During the school year, I took shifts ranging from 2 hours to 8 hours, overnight shifts, in the OSES bunkroom. If there is a medical emergency on campus or someone is feeling ill it is our job to respond and evaluate. As an EMT I have a basic understanding of stress response, methods to ensure personal well-being, and understanding of basic medical-legal principles.

I was in charge of a set number of residents (25) who live with in the building. It is my job to enforce the rules of the resident hall along with holding floor meetings to discuss issues, holding social events and programs for residents to attend and in general being available for residents to come talk to me with and issues, concerns, or comments. It is also a staff task to supervise a small group (8) of residents who work as night hosts.
