D2K Endeavors is a startup company that designs algorithmic trading software.• Wrote a Win32 Service in C++/STL that consumed real-time trading information from a Thompson-Reuters data feed, and stored selected information into a SQL Server database using the SQL Server Native Client interface.• Participated in the development and support of a Windows GUI program used for modeling and analyzing trading data; the program utilized Microsoft’s Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) and LINQ to Entities technologies, and the MVVM paradigm• Wrote SQL Server stored procedures for manipulating trading data.• Integrated use of Microsoft’s Enterprise Library into our system – specifically the “Log Block”, which was used to log events and send email notifications.• Wrote Windows Forms utility programs as an aid to analyzing the quality and characteristics of the data obtained from the real-time data feed.• Replicated key SQL server databases, prepared others for mirroring.• Monitored the Thompson-Reuters (TR) data feed in real-time, and served as D2K’s point of contact with TR when issues needed to be resolved.
