Curious and Flexible.As a former chemist looking to break into Information Technology, I possess the drive of a self-starter willing to make bold moves to fulfill my curiosity and passions. After working in my first position related to my Biochemistry degree as a chemist, I found myself stretching the responsibilities to include as many data, software, hardware, and networking related tasks as possible. For approximately the last year as a chemist I served as an application support specialist to the database management system known as LabVantage LIMS. Providing end-user support/training, troubleshooting application and user errors, and implementing continual software/hardware improvements easily peaked my interest and made work enjoyable. I'm now ready to transition into a dedicated IT position where I can focus on gaining skills in networking, information security, sysadmin, etc. With a 5 year goal to obtain a position in Infosec/cyber security, I am excited to start in positions such as Help Desk, Network/System Admins, and SOC Analyst. As a team-oriented, creative, and personable professional I know these positions will directly fit my character as well as my passions.
