Conducted research in Dr. Martin Blaser's lab, which focuses on the human microbiome and the affects of the overuse of antibiotics. I conducted a research project in the lab over the summer 2017, and have continued working on a research study with my mentor, Tim Borbet, on the causal role of antibiotics and the development of asthma. IACUC trained animal handler. Proficient in flow cytometry, ELISA, and cell culturing.

Research project: Identification of Wild Yeasts from the Irish Environment Conducted research on identification of yeasts in soil samples. Proficient in DNA and RNA extraction and purification, qPCR, and growth media preparation.

Participated in the New York University School of Medicine Sackler Institute's 2017 Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP) in the Biomedical Sciences. Conducted research in Dr. Martin Blaser's lab focusing on the human microbiome and the affects of the overuse of antibiotics. My summer project was on the effect of antibiotics on B Cell differentiation in asthmatic mice. IACUC trained animal handler. Proficient in flow cytometry, ELISA, and cell culturing.

Intern in the microbiology and allergen labs at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Proficient with ascetic techniques and microbiological techniques including establishing cultures, bacterial enumeration, preparing media, and proper disposal of biological waste. Also working with both pathogenic and nonpathogenic bacteria and viruses. Proficient with ELISA for allergen protein analysis and microbiological techniques on food products and cosmetics to isolate and identify any foodborne pathogens.

Stocking beer and wine cooler, stock shelves and front items on shelves, clean bathroom, take out garbage and cardboard, work register sometimes, and help customers find items and give advice on good options
