Responsible for the completion of Customer Service Requests as well as the upkeep and monitoring of Data Center Infrastructure. Perform all installations and respond to Customer and Data Center Infrastructure alarms.Additional Responsibilities Include:•Complete Service Order Installation and Network Circuit Troubleshooting.•Perform installation, termination, testing and labeling of Cross Connects (CAT5, COAX and Fiber).•Perform Installation of Cage, Cabinets, Ladder Rack, Fiber Trays.•Working with Network hardware (Multiplexers, Routers, Switches, Patch Panels & Media Converters).•Fault isolating and troubleshooting networks including LAN and WAN.•Configuring Networking Equipment such as Routers, Switches and Hubs.•Operational experience with Security Systems, resource management, capacity planning, monitoring and performance.•Operate Network Test Equipment including; Fluke, Digital Lightwave, Cable Analyzers, Sniffer.•Perform Remote Hands services for Customers including; Hardware Installation, Power Strips, Rails, Cable Management and Customer Equipment troubleshooting/reboots.•Timely Data Center infrastructure equipment alarm acknowledgement and response.•Report status via ticketing system, shift reports and email.•Maintain Data Center space cleanliness•Understanding of Power, UPS, Generator, HVAC, Fire Detection/ Suppression, Local Security and Monitoring systems.•Participate in Infrastructure MOP’s and proper execution.•In the event of Telecommunications or Network failure, I assist the Site Manager with investigation, resolution and closure of all troubles and publish findings.•Handles the expedient resolution of all high Severity Customer Service Requests and emergency escalations.•Maintains accurate records and document all problems.

Responsible for activating all new DS-1, DS-3, OC-N, Lambdas and MPLS/Ethernet circuits on the LightCore network as required by the design layout record (DLR). Uses network management systems to include Fujitsu Netsmart 500/1500, Cisco CTM/CTC, Nortel Preside/Site Manager and is proficient in Test & Turn-up on the network.Provides technical support to the LightCore NOC and other internal departments that may have technical issues or questions. Informs the LightCore NOC of all network activity in correlation with new installs in order to distinguish between test activity and actual network issues. Identify, acknowledge and label alarms on the network related to new circuit install activity.

Designed and ordered facilities for the Verizon Wireless Network. Also designed and coordinated the turn up for new cellular sites. Transformed facilities from copper to fiber as well as networks from TDM to Ethernet. Planned network for transition from EVDO to LTE.

Hand selected to work on the development of a new VoIP product; this included; training materials and the provisioning process. Created and managed the St. Louis phone lab environment. Provisioning of customer call routing, this includes programming of Auto Attendants, Call Centers and Hunt Groups in the BroadSoft BroadWorks Platform. Identified and resolved incompatibilities in customer LAN configurations. Migrated VoIP customers from ICG Communications VocalData Platform to BroadSoft BroadWorks Platform. Coordinated customer moves on a host of complex products.
