As the Senior Technology Consultant I am the head of the tech department at my Office Depot. I am responsible for the day to day operations in my department. It's my job to take care of our customers needs, questions and concerns. I am also responsible for the other techs in the department and make sure that they are kept up to date on changes in store policy and changes made in tech. I am responsible for the day to day operations in my department. It's my job to take care of our customers needs, questions and concerns. I am also responsible for the other techs in the department and make sure that they are kept up to date on changes in store policy and changes made in tech. A large part of my job revolves around computer repair. I diagnose issues within desktops, laptops, printers, and tablets and mobile devices troubleshooting both hardware and software issues that our customers may be experiencing. Along with diagnosing issues I also recommend solutions, whether it be removing a virus or installing new hardware to solve the problem. My job position also calls for me to handle other operations in the store that extend beyond my department. I help the other managers out with their daily logs, updating planograms for fixtures throughout the store. I also handle customer complaints and try to diffuse situations the best way possible. I check cycle counts and inventory checks and also help with accepting deliveries. I also help the other managers by doing overrides when they are tied up. I also take the initiative to grab products for them just to try and keep things running as smoothly as possible. I try to lead by example in my store. I help out where I'm needed. On any given day I could be doing my job but also helping grab furniture, helping cashiers with lines on register, or working in our copy and print center. I feel that part of my job is to boost morale, not just in my department, but in the entire store. Show less

Worked in the distribution center where I picked orders and assembled them for shipping to various Home Depot stores. Worked part-time while doing school and gained work as well as life experiences that I will take with me everywhere. I learned to interact with people from various backgrounds and to see that even though we were all from different walks of life that we were all still very similar.
