• Oversite of engineering activities for custom engineered to order electrical equipment with product portfolio sales of +$25M. The majority of equipment constructed under UL 508A panel builder standard.• Driving process structure and adherence to be consistent and compliant with corporate best practices.• Review of large project requests to manage technical risk and provide cost estimation to attain margin and top line goals.• Initiate collaboration activities between other global design and engineering centers.• Review of final engineering designs prior to release for construction to insure adherence to internal, local, and national codes and standards.

• Design of enclosed solid state motor controllers, full voltage motor controllers, low voltage motor control center and switchgear equipment.• Creation of electrical diagrams and production documentation in support of manufacturing and end user requirements.• Writing or revising design documentation and literature including development related deliverables and product instructional literature.• Selection of components to be incorporated in a system solution including short circuit protective devices, overload protective devices, wire selection, distribution block and motor control devices.• Definition and synthesis of test programs, test and validation, and negotiation with third party listing services to qualify products according to UL508, UL508C, UL845, UL1558 standards, for example.• Design center (third level) technical support for enclosed drives, solid state motor controllers, circuit protection, and standards including NEC, UL, IEC and NEMA.• Mentor-ship of young engineers, assessing and developing talent and technical skills. Presentation of technical refreshers to the peer community.
