I install underground pipes on small to major infrastructure projects ranging from highways to urban areas. I worked on Sydney-wide demolition and excavation projects, such as Westfield Shopping Centre in Hornsby and Chatswood, as well as Multiplex sites.Responsibilities:• Marked up site for construction work, recorded openings and distances to layout areas• Identified machinery, tools and necessary materials and distributed them to various locations as per the project plan• Used air hammers, whackers, cement mixers, and small mechanical hoists• Cleaned and prepared site to eliminate possible hazards• Controlled passing traffic in, or around work zones• Ensuring site safety, eliminating hazards and disposing of dangerous materialsKey Achievements:Have been able to repair accidental site damages, such as broken concrete on footpaths and roads, and also been able to reinstate landscape, thereby reducing cost for the company.

Among other London-wide projects, I worked on the London Underground Refurbishment project as well as Dagenham pipeline upgrade.Responsibilities:• Handled, installed, positioned and strung up to 42inch (107cm) diameter gas pipes for welders• Carried out rock sawing, breaking twinheader, shoring and used trench boxes• Installed gas and water pipes• Drove machinery such as bobcat, forklift, backhoe to backfill trenches• Assisted with tunneling, pipe jacking• Installed sewerage pipes, with a diameter of up to 5 feet (152cm)• Always kept to site safety rules and regulationsKey Achievements:Have supported and assisted the foreman and ensured pipes were always lined up ready for welders, thereby speeding up the project and allowing the welders to work around the clock.

I worked on various construction sites around London, including the Wembley Stadium upgrade.Responsibilities:• Cleaned and prepared sites for demolition and excavation work• Dug trenches, set braces to support the sides• Assisted in erecting scaffoldings• At the end of the project, cleaned up site debris and other waste materials• Adhered to site safety rules and regulations at all times
