My strong background in content creation and development combined with my expertise in directing large scale projects, enables me to serve as co-Investigator on this grant. With over 30 years of expertise in project management, technology implementation, multi-media content development, and building partnerships and collaborations within underserved communities, I have the ability to not only lead large teams but to do so while navigating the political and social challenges facing the populations we serve. Most notably, my work alongside my wife, Robyn Hussa Farrell, over the last 12 years, has led to award-winning accomplishments in both public health, public art and national resiliency initiatives.2014-Present: Chief Operating Officer and Creative Officer Resiliency Technologies -- Co-Founder of High-Growth Spartanburg technology company who brings more than 20 years of television, video and live performance producing, management and entrepreneurial experience to fast paced start-up. Responsibilities include: Strategic Planning and Brand Development, Content Direction, Video Direction, Production and Editing of all Sharpen App Trainings, Coordinate with Developers, Design and Marketing teams.2015-2017: Co-Director (with Robyn Hussa Farrell) of ‘Video Village’ installation -- 52 videos playingdocumentary films in the windows of an abandoned public housing project. This was part of the acclaimed “Seeing Spartanburg in A New Light” large-scale public art initiative supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies through a $1 Million grant. 2016-present: Consultant (with Robyn Hussa Farrell) for Northside Development Initiative – a Purposebuilt community project in Spartanburg, SC. Our job is to create an ongoing documentary film about racial equity and inclusion and provide strategy for direct engagement with residents.2005- Present: White Elephant Enterprises—Director produces industrial short films and documentaries with emphasis on collaboration, artistic, political, and personal integrity.2007-2014: Time Warner Cable/NY1 News (New York) –Senior Political Producer- Oversaw all network political content, conducted research, booked guests, wrote copy, timed the show, produced segments, teasers, and opens, and field-produced large-scale events. Worked closely with Political Director to devise and implement strategies to increase ratings and support News Division’s expansion goals.1990-2004: Theater Director Directed more than 30 Off- Broadway, regional, and global productions, including world premieres of 10 new plays.
