My fascination for automobiles began at a young age. I remember collecting mountains of Hot Wheels and remote controlled vehicles, often taking the RC’s apart to recombine them into other toys. This passion stayed with me throughout my life. During high school, I modified my vehicle and attended car meets practically every weekend. Since enrolling in the Electrical Engineering program at Texas State University, my tenacity towards automobiles has only grown. I found like-minded individuals through the university’s Formula Society of Automotive Engineering (FSAE) program, where I joined Bobcat Racing. Through this organization, I have been able to apply concepts learned during my educational career as well as gain hands-on experience working with a real race car. In addition to FSAE, I also discovered the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) organization and have been a member for about two years. In the past year, I have had the privilege of working as an officer for IEEE alongside my team where I have learned so much through our workshops, guest speakers, and general meetings. As an EE Student, I value knowledge and strive to learn with every chance I get.
