I managed contracts providing services to Hackney and Camden: key roles included relationship management, marketing and promotion, financial administration and contractual reporting against performance indicatorsI was responsible for developing and maintaining an effective network of referral partners to drive referrals and deliver client interventions for the Hackney SHINE serviceI established a partnership with Citizens Advice in 2015 to produce consumer advice films on prepayment meters and became involved in project work to support the smart meter rollout in Islington I worked closely with a neighbouring local authority to establish one of the first delegated schemes under the BEIS ECO2 Flex programme to certify fuel poor households for energy efficiency improvements I produced Islington's 2015 HECA Report for DECC on council-wide energy efficiency activity. I also have an interest community energy and was involved in developing Islington’s new community energy plan I have a strong focus on continuous improvement and take ownership for initiating change. Examples include standardising capture of client outcomes to improve service quality and updating complaints processesKey Achievements• Over 3½ years I grew both the contracts I managed significantly despite austerity, increasing the value of one by 12% and renegotiating the other to double the potential contract scope and value• In March 2017, I prepared a successful bid for a new Seasonal Health Hub contract worth over £250k over 4 years, including writing the method statement, shaping the budget and handling compliance• I was 'highly commended' in 2016 for Outstanding Partnership Working in the LBI ‘EPIC’ staff awards

Reporting to the Chief Executive I delivered this ambitious urban garden project, funded by Crossrail, to transform a drab urban plot into an inspirational learning and recovery environment for homeless clients• I managed all phases of the project including design and construction, supplier selection and procurement, stakeholder engagement and service-user participation• I shaped the £74,000 project budget and influenced the fundraising team to bring forward fundraising activities to allow the project to progress on schedule• I negotiated a number of solutions to overcome construction delays at a neighbouring £40Million building project that threatened our timetable, securing £10,000 of additional support in the process

I started a small business delivering freelance sustainability projects in Cornwall. Successes included:• commissioned to write an online community-energy toolkit for Community Energy Plus• advised on renewable energy options for a local back-packer hotel and devised a marketing strategy linking with local adventure sport providers to offer staff discounts to corporate partners• developed proposals to increase local sustainable ferry use attracting interest from Cornwall Council• advised ‘Nature Workshops’ in a voluntary capacity on strategic development as a social enterprise

Original qualitative research into the attitudes of UK mortgage underwriting managers towards domestic solar PV and it's impact on lending risk.

As a business analyst I analysed, articulated and prioritised requirements for change to business processes and systems. I worked with colleagues across Standard Life to understand business drivers and negotiate effective solutions that met the needs of all stakeholders. I oversaw delivery phases, influencing programme leaders and technical managers to ensure key resources were allocated to meet project deadlines.Key projects and achievements included:• ‘Differential Pricing by Fund’ Pensions: I was tasked with developing business requirements to support the rapid launch of a complex new pension product in order to win a major FTSE 100 new-business contract. I worked with key stakeholders to elicit requirements and negotiate an interim solution that met ‘Pensions Code of Business’ requirements without delaying the launch date• L&P Regulatory Changes to Life Statements: brought in to resolve delays and reset test progress, I used leadership and influencing skills to galvanise a disparate test team and secure additional operations staff and technical resource to tackle defect bottlenecks and accelerate document production test cycles• IFA Sales Commission Controls: This agile project identified sales-commission overpayments for ‘introduced’ Life and Pensions business. I led a review which prioritised high-yield controls allowing this long-running compliance-driven project to effectively become self-financing from recovered overpayments

As a test analyst with Standard Life Bank I developed and delivered testing and implementation strategies to support change to savings and mortgages systems including customer relationship management, e-commerce, mainframe batch-processing, and finance and reporting systems.My key skills and responsibilities included:• Developing test strategy, test planning, managing testing teams, issue and defect resolution• Using business insight and risk-based approaches to match testing effort to available timescales • Helping business managers understand technical issues to support effective decision making• Developing innovative strategies to prove new technologies, remote systems and unfamiliar change• Designing implementation processes to ensure systems changes didn’t impact on pipeline business

Inspired by the 2005 'Make Poverty History' campaign, established a Scottish charity to help schools in developing communities improve employment prospects through IT training. Partnered with Onechild Ghana and funded IT equipment and support for several ICCES education centres.
