Under my leadership, the Application Software Development department successfully designed, developed, produced, and implemented a mission-critical claims adjudication platform. I managed the department and its $5 million budget as we smoothly deployed a complex suite of distributed global software tools.I led the development and improvement of the claims platform, which encompassed more than 20 million lines of code. By implementing the RIGOR program designed to bolster software quality, I was able to decrease production defects by 50% over two years. This initiative resulted in a 30% lower defect injection rate within Claims Adjudication, and a 25% lower defect inventory within the first three months of 2019.I saved the company $40 million in annual costs by integrating the OSCAR claims processing system with a third-party system providing pre-payment medical policy review, a project I successfully oversaw from conception through implementation.I was awarded the Diamond Award for superior customer collaboration.

As head of product development for the company’s Spending Account platform, I was in charge of a $2.5 million budget and successfully managed multiple integrated domains, including membership, group, finance, claims, and a third-party system.I applied Six Sigma principles to garner outstanding results: we eliminated 98% of processing errors on the Spending Accounts platform across membership, group, and claims filed.It was my job to orchestrate and execute both a $5 million Real-Time Claims Adjudication project and a $3 million Spending Account member portal initiative, and I led our team to complete both projects on time and on budget.I contributed my expertise to the HM Health Solutions CIO Advisory Forum In 2014 and 2015.
