The Central Illinois Disc Golf Association (CIDGA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in the spring of 2014 with the goal of serving the Central Illinois disc golf community. We focus on promoting the sport of disc golf, developing courses, running tournaments and leagues, encouraging spectators, and player engagement.Here in central Illinois, we are blessed to have so many great courses that are a short driving distance between them. Each park district in the area has at least one course and some park districts, like Morton, have more than one course. We assist the park districts by providing services like spreading mulch, helping with erosion control and trash pickup.CIDGA promotes the sport of disc golf for all ages. In the future, we hope to offer lessons through the park districts and after-school programs so that children and young people have access to learning the sport of disc golf.
