Since childhood, I've always been a curious and energetic individual, passionate about understanding how things work and connecting with people. This drive has led me on an incredible journey, from corporate life and IT audit to launching a startup that enables people to celebrate together, no matter where they are in the world. My professional journey began as a cadet at Telstra, Australia's largest telecommunications company. This role was an invaluable experience as I was rotated through various business units, giving me my first real insight into how a large organisation operates. It was here that I started developing a foundational understanding of business dynamics and operations.I then moved on to PwC during a pivotal time in 2005 when offshoring was becoming a strategic move for companies to reduce costs. I had the privilege of working with some of our largest clients, including IBM, Qantas, Telstra, and Westpac, ensuring they maintained robust controls in compliance with SOX and national data legislation, even as they expanded operations overseas. My next chapter took me to Westpac, where I was deeply involved in the historic merger between Westpac and St George Bank—the largest in Australia’s history at the time. It was a tremendous learning experience, witnessing firsthand how two major retail banks could achieve significant efficiencies by merging processes, systems, and people while maintaining distinct brand identities and managing risk effectively. These experiences have shaped me, giving me a profound understanding of business, tech and risk management. However, my entrepreneurial spirit always called to me. The further I advanced in my career, the stronger that pull became. After experiencing my own overseas wedding and holiday experience together with family and friends, I discovered a unique opportunity I couldn’t resist.Today, I'm passionate about our mission of bringing people together and fostering human connection. Our business is dedicated to taking couples and their loved ones out of their busy, tech-driven lives and into an immersive, holiday-like experience where they can be fully present with each other—just like the old days, without distractions. When they return home, our clients often realise their experience was much more than just a wedding. It’s a powerful reminder to prioritise our offline friendships and find balance in our increasingly digital lives. Sparking this realisation for everyone in the group is why we’re so passionate about what we do.
