Tim Rasmussen, CCIM serves as an Assistant Vice President for SVN | Chicago Commercial, specializing in the sale and lease of mixed use, retail, land, commercial hospitality, restaurant, and entertainment property throughout the Chicago metropolitan area. Mr. Rasmussen has been both a developer and a restaurant owner, and understands all sides of real estate development.Prior to joining SVN, Rasmussen was Principal of Chicago Restaurant Corporation for 20 years, owning and operating a string of popular Chicago restaurants including Anteprima, Acre, Ombra, Joe’s Be-Bop Café, Charlie’s Ale House, and Carlucci Restaurant. During that time he was also continuously active as Managing Broker of Rasmussen Realty Advisors, a development and brokerage company.Rasmussen also provides expert court testimony on behalf of banks, business partnerships and family law matters requiring cost effective business valuation and has testified in both State and Federal court.In an earlier role as Executive Vice President of Leasing for Hawthorn Realty Group, Rasmussen oversaw an 8.5 million SF portfolio of office and industrial properties in Rosemont, Lincolnshire, Lincolnwood, and Oak Brook, among other locations.A CCIM designee and licensed real estate broker in Illinois and Florida, Rasmussen is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, Board Member Uptown Development Partners, Restaurant Product Council Chair and earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee – Knoxville.
