This role was based within the Marketing team working closely with the sales and purchasing and fulfilment department. Responsibilities included:Managing upstream contacts (publishers and suppliers) in liaison with Purchasing and Fulfilment departments to deliver new products to the customer base. Contacting vendors to obtain technical information on the product range and to find solutions to customer’s technical problems.Supporting existing customers on products and upgrades that they may be interested in. Dealing with information requests and providing technical back up to the sales department Managing publishers licensing information and instructing sales team how to navigate information. Writing text entries (product descriptions, feature lists etc) in plain English for the Sales Department and Website catalogue. Creating advertising campaigns for inclusion in Hard Copy magazine and E-alert.Cultivating good working relationships with major software providers for example advising Intel on aspects of software licensing. Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of all technologies involved
