As the Director of Training my key responsibilities were to build the training department and then to deliver training on their cloud analytics and IT financial software to end-users, system administrators, and developers. I was able to align the training to company goals and increased student retention. I was instructional designer and built the training materials from the ground up, creating complete sets of reproducible, objective-based, hands-on learning materials. I built ILT, VILT, and WBT courses. And created over 20 videos to document using the Cloud Cruiser 16 product. I mentored partner teams from the US, Europe and India. This extended our company reach, enabling partners to discover needs, design complex technical solutions, install and customize the product, and provide post-implementation support.And, as with most startups, the job went beyond the formal description. I lead teams to identify and implement a time tracking system, and a web-based billing system. I provided technical support on Salesforce to the Sales Operations team. And performed a variety of other tasks to support the company.

I wrote advance cyber security programming classes for network security applications. The appliance sat on the network where you'd place a router, or firewall. I taught security professionals from industry and national government a C-like programming language used to build custom firewalls, filters, and lawful intercept applications. The job span hardware and software. I installed and configured blades in an IBM Bladecenter, built VMware Servers, configured switches, routers, and network software such as McAfee NTR. And the job required extensive knowledge of network protocols.When we were acquired by SAIC, I was also the product manager SAIC's CyberNEXS cyber security competition platform. My team and I ran the competitions for the US CyberPatriot, Global Cyberlympics, and the Maryland Cyber Challenge.

I worked as an independent training consultant. I worked for a variety of startups and corporations to build and deliver training projects. Projects overlapped and I was consistently hired back for additional work.
