Responsibilities included meeting sales, inventory, and margin targets, adhering to all expenditure budgets (including payroll), hiring and developing of 150+ person staff, store design, and all product related decisions.• Increased sales, margin, and market share year over year, in a declining market, by adding new product lines, such as graphic novels and toys, to existing successful product lines.• Reduced inventory by half in five years, while increasing turns, sales, and margin. Accomplished this by implementing regular return schedule, cutting buys where necessary.
